Location: Taman Tugu
The National Cancer Council or Majlis Kanser Nasional (“MAKNA”) organised a Treasure Hunt Activity at Taman Tugu today.
The Treasure Hunt Activity is in conjunction with MAKNA’s Volunteer Appreciation Day. The Volunteer Appreciation Day is MAKNA’s annual celebration to thank volunteers from all over Malaysia for their services. MAKNA’s volunteers selflessly dedicate themselves to the cause and have made a difference in the lives of thousands of cancer patients from low-income communities. As a form of gratitude, MAKNA organises the Appreciation Day to celebrate the volunteers.
The Treasure Hunt is one of the activities held for volunteers all over Malaysia to get together and bond.
More than 90 volunteers and members from MAKNA gathered at Taman Tugu for this activity. There was a short briefing of the Taman Tugu Project before the Treasure Hunt flag-off.
In addition to celebrating the volunteers and a chance for them to get to know each other, the activity was also an opportunity for the volunteers and MAKNA members to learn about our natural world and green heritage, as well as environmental and conservation efforts.
We would like to thank MAKNA for celebrating their volunteers at Taman Tugu and for their support towards the project and conservation of public green spaces.
