It was our great pleasure to be a sustainability classroom for Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin, Chief People Officer of CIMB, her team, and the 48th batch of management associates under CIMB’s The Complete Banker Programme.
About 30 associates reported for their first day at work at the Taman Tugu Nursery where they learnt the importance of sustainability and how it starts from each individual.
To further ingrain sustainability in the associates, they planted 11 indigenous Malaysian rainforest trees, between the heights of 3 – 8 metres at the new forest trails which helped with the creation of these trails.
The associates appreciated that their first day of reporting to work was in the forest and committed to periodically visiting the trees they planted. The activity was also a good lesson on the importance of teamwork – which is key in the workplace.
The team definitely did not get ‘Monday Blues’ and are eagerly looking forward to the opening of Taman Tugu.
It was our great pleasure to host the team from CIMB and we look forward to bringing more corporate teams to help build a green lung for our country.
