Officiation of Madrasah Bustanul Ulum Taman Tugu

Date: 5 Febuary 2021
Location: Madrasah Bustanul Ulum Taman Tugu

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to report that on the 5th of February 2021, Madarsah Bustanul Ulum Taman Tugu (“MBU-TT”) was officiated by the Minister of Federal Territories, YB Tan Sri TPr Annuar Musa and the Minister in the Prime Ministor’s Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Datuk Dr. Haji Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri who also read the Khutbah (Sermon) on the day, in a simple ceremony after the Friday Prayers held on the day. YBhg. Datuk Mahadi Che Ngah, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur was also present during the officiation.

The new MBU-TT facility was built as part of the Taman Tugu Project to replace the existing Madrasah Bustanul Ulum on the Taman Tugu grounds which have been operating as a Surau Jumaat for over 50 years now. The new facility will have the capacity to comfortablely accomodate more than 1,000 people (without social distancing) at one time, and also includes 3 Staff Quarters units for the MBU-TT staff. An F&B building has also been built next to the MBU-TT facility which shall commence operations very soon.

Insya-Allah, this new facility shall continue the legacy of Madrasah Bustanul Ulum as a Surau Jumaat for the people and stand as testament to the Project’s intent towards the betterment of our community.

For those who would like to visit and perform their prayers at the New Surau, we strongly urge you to adhere to the current Social Distancing Standard Operating Procedures as recommended by the Majlis Keselamatan Negara and all relevant authorities while you are present at the New Surau.
