Seeds Planted at Launch and Public Engagement Sessions

The merbau (intsia bijuga) seeds planted by guests during the Taman Tugu Project launch and various public engagement sessions circa September-October 2016 are growing well and are now about 1m tall.

Featured in the photo is Mr Balu Perumal – Malaysian Nature Society’s (“MNS”) Head of Conservation who tends to these plants with his team and volunteers at MNS’ nursery in Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur.

The merbau trees will eventually be moved to the Taman Tugu site where it will be planted in its permanent location.
